This segment was broadcast on NBC's Today Show in March 1994 and is considered "historic" in that Harley-Davidson had successfully completed the turn-around from near-bankruptcy to the waiting-list days. The day this segment aired on The Today Show, Harley stock rose and calls to dealers were reported to be one of the highest days in history. This segment was performed with Katie Couric during the days when The Today Show was a two-hour show and, as you can tell from the "teasers" prior to the segment, it was highly promoted throughout the show as well as during prime time the night before. It was a fun segment to produce and host and much of it was shot in Nashville, Tennessee.
