As a follow-up, after riding with the Utopia Backrest on the Vision for a few weeks, I have to give it high marks. Not only is it comfortable, as a "vertically challenged" rider, I have found that with a simple adjustment, it can move me forward in the seat and allow for a more comfortable, upright riding position. It's sturdy and allows the rider to stretch out when needed to avoid fatigue and it virtually eliminates the lower back pain I would feel on longer rides.
The only negative I've found is that it takes away a few inches of passenger room, but not enough to where I would call it a red flag issue. Also, it would be nice if it was easily removed when not in use without having to remove the seat. But that's a double edge sword as the mounting bracket is very sturdy and the "insertable" backrests I've seen in the past don't appear to be as sturdy as the Utopia model.
Simply stated, it makes an already comfortable seat even more comfortable.
