This is pretty much the way I brought my Kingpin home after purchasing it from the dealer. When I test rode the Kingpin it was way to quiet for my liking so I had them install a stage 1 package before I took it home.

This second pic is how it looks today.

The handlebars are mini apes, 2" extension for the floorboards, memphis shades windshield & lowers, rear floorboards for my lady, Tsukayu hard bags, stage 1 drag pipes and turn signal mirrors. I kinda think the stock turn signals are butt ugly so I removed them and for the front I tried some wrap around the fork style and the rears I went with a set that fits inside the slot  the stock ones poked through. The front wrap style are going to be removed as the 2 sided tape will not keep them on securly.

You will also notice that the cheese wedges have been removed to clean up the engine apperance and get a little more air to the rear cylinder for cooling.

The left side comes right off with a few bolts but the right side had to be cut off of the oil lines and cleaned up with a die grinder.

I also had to make a bracket to relocate the ignition switch.

Another little mod I did was to cut off the heal shifter as my size 15 foot kept knocking the bike out of the gear I wanted. The time to do this mod was a bit over 3 hours just to make it look as good as stock.

I still want to do something with the stock air box and I need to go with a Mustang seat for the long haul rides and I'll end up getting a Tsukayu truck as well. I may even install a MSD ignition system for a better spark for the plugs.

Great job with the custom work.  I like the clean lines and lack of frill!

These bags are the smaller ones they offer (26 quart) they came out with a 40 quart size about 2 months after I purchased these. be sure to get the upgraded latches when ordering your bags.

Nice and clean looking. Do the 2" extensions make a noticeable difference? i have thought about them myself but can't phathom it making enough of a difference to be worth while..my last bike didn't have a highway bar because the forwards I had moved the controls 5" forward and 2" up...a very nice relaxed riding position.

I found it made a difference to me, but I may make some about 4". I still feel kind of cramped

Did you use the Vic bag mounting hardware or did you have to buy "universal" bag mounts. I know the bag manufacturer ships the bags undrilled You didn't happen to take pictures as you mounted did you?

I used the quick release mounts for the soft bags, (see my topic 2006 Kingpin) there is a pic of the back plate I made to mount up to the quick release. I don't recommend going that route.

I am going to use the mounting brackets that came with the bags as I dropped my bike and broke the left side mount ($150.00 screwup) and I need to refinish the left bag.

I failed to take pics of the holes I drilled, I'll see if I have any pics that might help, or better yet as I'm going to redrill the bags and use the brackets that came with them i'll get some pics as I do it this time. It'll be next mounth before I get to it though.
