Part of being a community is supporting some worthwhile causes. While we've yet to adopt a noteworthy charity, those days will come as it's a good thing to give back to those in need.

Last month we supported the Palm Beach Economic Crime Unit. This is an organization that combats Identity Theft for everything from banks to gas stations. Here's how they describe their organization: Since 1985 the Palm Beach Economic Crime Unit (non-profit) has assisted area law enforcement, financial institutions, as well as local businesses, with the training needs in identifying, investigating and prosecuting economic crime in South Florida. This organization meets monthly to combine the efforts of Law Enforcement and Financial Institutions to combat fraud in South Florida. Since they do not get tax dollars to fight these financial crimes, they hold an annual golf tournament and this year, TheVOG.net was a featured supporter.
